It started out sweet...
I had the road all to myself, going steady 100mph for hours, and even enjoying driving through two different storms. Being a person that absolutely loves water, I was very please that the entire coast was over abundant with water everywhere. I have to admit I didn't think driving through the "dry" desert for the next 12 days would be as satisfying. Well, too my surprise - not only were there streams, ponds, rivers, marshes everywhere... there was also storms, flooding, and a cyclone coming my way. I am currently stuck in a the very small road town of Julia creek - with no way forward or backward. There are loads of truck drivers here that have been stuck for the past 5 days. I will wait and see which way opens up first, and that will decide it I continue on to Uluru or not. It would be sad for me to miss Uluru since it was the main interest for me in Australia. Great news there is a library here with internet, which allows me to catch up with my blogging :) “Life is no different than the weather. Not only is it unpredictable, but it shows us a new perspective of the world every day.” ― Suzy Kassem THANK YOU FOR BEING YOU
