I started my exciting adventure in Scotland, in Oban, of the West Highlands, and the gateway to the Hebridean Isles.
After reading the book “Scotland’s Hidden Sacred Past”, I was deeply inspired to explore the ancient mystical Islands of Scotland, where I walked and hitchhiked for hours on the Isle of Mull, looking for the hidden Culdees church, and the Isle of Iona, whose presence of spirit is so strong it can turn even agnostic into a believer, and Staffa, with it’s colossal hexagonal basalt columns rising vertically out of the ocean forming the cave of Fingal, and the really cute Puffins that live there.
I left by ferry every morning from Oban to get to each Island. I spent my days walking through lush valleys, around rolling hills and lochs, in search of hidden and not so hidden sacred sites… a journey through twist and turns, and magical moments.
Next, I went to the countryside town, Inchture, to pet sit for a couple of weeks. We enjoyed daily long walks through the countryside.
From there I stayed for a few days in architecturally stunning and lively city of Edinburgh, before another pet sit in the small country town of Inversesk, enjoying daily riverside walks with the dogs.
And to finish off my Scotland trip, I went with a friend on his beautiful all wooden boat through the Loch Ness…. What a very special treat. And yes, I swam in the freezing Loch.
This was my first trip doing pet sitting from Trusted Pet Sitters, and I highly recommend it if you love pets like I do. I was able to stay in beautiful homes for free, in places I would have never thought of visiting on my own, and extremely grateful I got to. I will put a link here if you want to check it out, and if you sign up through my link, you get 25% discount and I get 2 mos. free 😊
THANK YOU FOR BEING YOU

I met a guy while here in Ireland, who was intoxicated and a little obnoxious. He realized quickly in our conversation that I was not interested in anything more than a little chat, so then he starts expressing his anger towards women. He starts blaming television shows for ruining women by giving them high expectations towards men… ones that are impossible for a man to fulfill. I asked him about his relationship with his mother (which is usually the core issue) and he said he hates her. Then he quickly said, not hate, just disgusted with.
He then goes on about his divorce and absolute love for his teenage son. I told him how most likely he has passed on his anger towards women to his son. He immediately denied that possibility, then got quiet, reflected a bit, and said maybe. His demeanor did a drastic change into remorse. I comforted him by saying WE ALL have received negative beliefs and painful memories from our parents, and when we become parents, we most likely pass some on to our children.
I explained to him that when a person becomes aware of this reality, the most important thing is to avoid guilt, shame, or blame. The best thing we can do for ourselves, our family, and the collective consciousness of humanity is to take full responsibility for the unhealthy beliefs, thoughts, emotions and actions we have accepted and expressed, and choose to transmute and release them. If each one does the work to become aware of their own shadow self, stop projecting on to others, and start clearing them from their psyche, then the whole of humanity will experience a complete shift in reality towards a more harmonious existence.
He had a beautiful shift in his demeanor, and I could tell his heart was touched when he realized he wasn't alone in the drama of suffering and separatism in the collective human consciousness.
He then asked me if I truly believe that we will live in a utopian world if we each worked on our own part of the collective shadow, and I said it wouldn't hurt to try.
I thank all of you for being you and choosing to do your part of transmuting our collective consciousness from the lower destructive emotions like anger, fear, resentment, blame etc.… into empowering positive ones like forgiveness, love, acceptance. For assistance: Oneonly.love
“We seldom realize, for example that our most private thoughts and emotions are not actually our own. For we think in terms of languages and images which we did not invent, but which were given to us by our society.”
