I did a very quick 5 day trip to Phillip Island, Australia end of Dec.
Although I’m thankful I was there before the fires spread into Melbourne area, I feel deeply for the traumatic devastation all of Australia is experiencing at this time. I went to philip Island because it is on my new list of the worlds power spots. The history of the Island began over 500 million years ago, with a volcanic explosion creating complex multi-cellular life forms and surface land layers of various colors. After bicycling over 5 miles in 100 degrees weather, I was blessed with having an entire most spectacular bay of pink granite, columns of basalt, agate, zeolites, and the areas special Cambrian Greenstones, all to myself for hours :) I hiked exploring the parameter of the bay, and merged myself in the rawness of the ancient volcanic terrain sitting in deep meditation. This experience and place had a profound affect on me…it felt like I was in the womb of the earth. My already immense love for our planet has grown even deeper. I was inspired to create the Thank You for Being You project while sitting on the ground between the ancient oak trees, Gog and Magog in Glastonbury, England. While in deep meditation, I automatically said thank you for being you to them. Immediately I felt a surge of energy rush into my body, and it felt like they were saying it back. I thought how wonderful it would be to give that feeling to as many people as possible while invoking in them the love and gratitude for self, all other selves, our planet and all that exist. Earth is our home, she provides all the resources for us to thrive, grow, and evolve… just like most mothers do for their children. And we humans are like spoiled, self-centered, immature children who use and abuse, while taking advantage with little respect and appreciation for all that she continuously gives. She has been waiting with unconditional love for us to mature into adults who will in turn love, respect, appreciate and care for her. It is time for us all to grow up and take responsibility for our actions and contribution to the whole of humanity and our planet. We each have an important role, and it is our job to find out what that role is and do/be it. “There greatest rewards come when you give of yourself. It’s about bettering the lives of others, being part of something bigger than yourself, and making a positive difference. — Nidk Vujicic THANK YOU FOR BEING YOU
