India April 2019
Enjoyed my time in Auroville very much - I LOVE THAT PLACE. Afterwards I went Mt. Arunachala, in Tiruvannamalai, which is one of the five main holy places in South India. I visited Sri Ramana Maharishi’s temple and meditated in the Virupaksha Cave where Ramana Maharishi lived for 17 years. Sri Ramana Maharishi was one of the most famous sages in the twentieth century. Before leaving India I really wanted to experience another new place, so I went to Rishikesh, “The Yoga Capitol of the World’. It has now become one of my two favorite places in India. Most the travelers were there to study yoga and meditation, so they were in a beautiful state of mind, and I found the locals to be more relaxed and peaceful than other areas of India. Also, it is on the Ganges river, which most of you know I LOVE WATERWAYS! I was very excited to plunge myself in the place where the two rivers meet to create the Ganges. Talk about cool… as in temperature and experience. “Our own self-realization is the greatest service we can render the world.” Ramana Maharshi THANK YOU FOR BEING YOU
