Croatia What was suppose to be a 4-5 hr bus ride to Split Croatia, ended up being over 9 hrs for some reason. I arrived very tired, went for a swim in at a dirty beach, and slept in a disgusting hotel. Took a bus to Hvar Island and then I got to experience the stunning Croatia I heard about. Hvar is one of the few places I have been that I say “I could live here”. Being an Island girl with the love of boating and sparkling clean water to swim in… I was in heaven. Next I went to the KRKA National park, to see the famous waterfalls… and not only did I see them, I swam in them :) Soooo beautiful!!! After a couple of days exploring the KRKA park, I got on a boat to Italy, plane to Germany then plane to California, August 22… A little under 3 mos in the Balkans.
