Firstly, I want to express my immense gratitude for all of you – THANK YOU FOR BEING YOU!!!
As I started writing this, I realized I was confused with the difference of gratitude vs thankfulness... So, I Googled it, and this is what Google said: “Where thankfulness is an emotion, gratitude is an attitude of appreciation under any circumstance. Gratitude involves being thankful, but it is more than that. Gratitude means expressing thankfulness and being appreciative of life daily even when nothing exciting happens.” Then I Googled “the power of the attitude of gratitude”, and the first thing that pops up is info from Harvard Health: “Giving thanks can make you happier -- In positive psychology research, gratitude is strongly and consistently associated with greater happiness. Gratitude helps people feel more positive emotions, improve their health, deal with diversity, and build strong relationships.” I wish for all of you a Thanksgiving Day and every day, full of love and gratitude!

After 37 days, and 840km, I finally made it to Santiago, Spain. It was an absolutely awesome experience that I highly recommend.
My original plan was to continue walking, doing the Portugal coastal El Camino Santiago Route backwards (all the routes are meant to lead to Santiago), wanting to explore Portugal while on my way to Morocco, but plans changed a bit. I heard from multiple solo female world travelers that Morocco, of all the places they have been, is definitely not a place to go as a woman alone. Accepting this, I was hoping to meet someone while in Spain to join me in Morocco. Well as I often say, Life is miraculous if you expect and allow it to be. During the Spain walk a friend who every now and then messages me saying “Were in the world is Cher?”, came with me to Morocco 😊 I flew from Santiago, Spain to meet him in Lisbon, Portugal, and going to Marrakesh, Morocco from there. Due to his schedule, I had to skip exploring Portugal, except for beautiful Lisbon, but I will be back for sure… what an enticing country it is. We visited the four Imperial cities of Morocco: Marrakesh, Rabat, Meknes, Fes, and some other places like Casablanca, the blue city of Chefshouen, Tangier and the magical mountainous waterfalls of Ras El Ma. We stayed in the Madina of each place, which is the historical center/old city. It is there where all your senses are aroused, and you are taken back in time exploring the colorful shops, enjoying a cup of traditional mint tea, playing with the snake charmers, listening to tribal street music, watching the artisans produce handmade crafts that their family has been making from generation to generation, while winding your way through what seems to be the never-ending streets of historical homes and shops. The Madina of Fes, which was established in the eighth century and is home to the world’s oldest University, has over one thousand streets lined with merchants. Fes is considered the cultural and spiritual capital of Morocco. When I travel to different places, I usually don’t have a feeling of need or desire to return -- but with Morocco, I would not hesitate to go back. THANK YOU MOROCCCO FOR BEING YOU “OH THE PLACES YOU’LL GO.” – DR. SEUSS Only 223 km out of 840 km left to go. Walking from 20--30 km per day, on various types of trails; from paved busy roads, to rocky, seemingly never-ending torturous steep dirt trails.... meandering up through mountainous pastures and forest and back down through the quant coastal villages of Spain.
I visited a friend in North Carolina, and I experienced intense headache, sinus pain and vomiting the first 2 nights. It was strange because it was only during the night when I felt these symptoms and I have never experienced this before. It was so bad the second night my friend thought he would have to take me to the hospital.
Instead, in the morning I went outside and laid on the grass and immersed myself in the healing energy of the sun and earth… that same day I went on a six-hour motorcycle ride through the gorgeous Great Smoky Mountains, and filled the rest of my days water skiing, hiking the Appalachian trail, swimming in waterfalls, and enjoying time with old and new friends. I had no other symptoms since those two nights. Our bodies are nourished by the sun rays and balanced by the earth’s frequencies. I highly recommend you research “Earthing” and use this natural healing/balancing practice as part of your daily life, with much love a gratitude for all the Earth and Sun gives us. Thank You Earth, Sun, and all of you for BEING YOU! “I go to nature to be soothed and healed, and to have my senses put in order”. – John Burroughs Book a Transformation Therapy Session with Cher, if you would like assistance in removing any negative past conditioning or traumas from your mind/body system; to live and enjoy life to the fullest. https://calendly.com/transformationtherapysession https://oneonly.love/ I just returned to Monterey, California, from my first cross country road trip, San Francisco-Philadelphia… traversing through Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Kentucky, West Virginia, Maryland, and Philadelphia.
Although I have been to many places in the world, I was lacking experience of much of America. A few years ago, I did a road trip from California to Arkansas, and I was really hoping to continue through many more of the Southern states, but that’s as far as I got that time. So, I was very happy for this chance to journey through some more. I was pleasantly surprised how green most of those states are, and I found all the people to be kind, polite and helpful. As I explore all the different places in different states and countries; and all the people living their lives—I get overwhelmed with the thought that there are 7.96 billion people on this planet, with each person totally unique, contributing their very important purpose within the entirety of humanity. THANK YOU FOR BEING YOU “Our inner strengths, experiences, and truths cannot be lost, destroyed, or taken away. Every person has an inborn worth and can contribute to the human community. We all can treat one another with dignity, and respect, provide opportunities to grow toward our fullest lives and help one another discover and develop our unique gifts. We each deserve this, and we all can extend it to others.”—Mark Twain Book a Transformation Therapy Session with Cher, if you would like assistance in removing any negative past conditioning or traumas from your mind/body system, to rediscover your innate gifts. https://calendly.com/transformationtherapysession https://oneonly.love/ A big HELLO to everyone!
You were born bearing a birthday gift to the world… that gift is YOU!
Just you being you is enough. Your purpose in life is to be you, realize you; embody and experience the highest, purest, fully empowered version of you possible. Everything you experience is showing you, you. By asking the questions in what you perceive as difficult situations, “What am I showing myself now?”, “What can I learn from this situation?”; you turn the situation into an opportunity to learn from and continue forward to the next lesson of life. By doing this, you broaden your awareness of self and the world as a whole. When you experience life as a way to refine yourself, the wrapping starts to come off, revealing the precious gift that you are to yourself and all that exist. THANK YOU FOR BEING YOU! “We know the excitement of getting a present - we love to unwrap it to see what is inside. So it is with our children. They are gifts we unwrap for years as we discover the unique characters God has made them.” - Author: Cornelius Plantinga A friend and I were talking yesterday about a time in the past when she stayed up all night enjoying a new relationship, and bursting with happiness… she said, “look at me now—older, alone, going to bed by 9:00pm.”
It was exactly two years ago that I handed out my last Thank You for Being You cards to people.
I was on a long trip through South America, when I accepted the very kind offer from a friend to stay in their guest apartment in Monterey, California during the pandemic. Although I kept traveling during the past two years, it didn’t seem acceptable for me to hand people cards when most were frightened of contamination. I really miss the beautiful exchange giving people the cards all throughout the world since I started the project in 2018. I really wish I had someone with me video documenting the magical moment when a person received the cards… so many smiles… even tears of love and gratitude at times. I hope to inspire you to say “Thank you for being you” to as many people, places, and things – as often as possible, in the month of March 2022 and share your experience in the comments.
